Calling all coders! We need your help

Can you help out with ClimateWatch?

We want to upgrade ClimateWatch to include some great new features for our users, including:

  • The ability to see maps of your sightings
  • The ability to see maps of other sightings in your area, along with photos, notes etc.
  • Automatic detection of impossible sightings, such as whales in the desert
  • Extension of the blogging function to allow feedback from and communication between users
  • Fixing of minor bugs in the app.

Can you help us?

We’re looking for pro bono programming support from someone with Ruby on Rails experience, who also has experience developing apps for both iPhone and Android. Ideally it would be great to get some assistance from the open source community as well. We’d like to get work started ASAP, with the upgrade launched by December. Please contact us on 03 9016 7590, or email climatewatch@earthwatch.org.au.
