Sunshine Coast – Maroochy Wetlands, QLD

The trail runs along the Maroochy Wetlands Boardwalk in Bli Bli. The timber and composite fibre boardwalk makes it easy and more accessible to explore this environmental haven at the edge of the Maroochy River.

At the Maroochy Wetlands Sanctuary ClimateWatch trail can experience wet and dry eucalypt forests, rainforest, melaleuca forest, casuarina woodland, salt marsh and mangroves along the Boardwalk.

How to get involved

Access is from the Maroochy Wetlands Sanctuary Visitor Information Centre where an array of interactive interpretive displays showcase the hidden treasures of the wetlands. The Sanctuary is at the end of Sports Road (which is currently unsealed).

If your school is interested in visiting the site, please notify Council prior to your visit.
